EtaProof®
EtaProof ® is developed by the Swiss weaving manufacturers Stotz. American cotton is spun, woven and equipped in Switzerland. The result is a highly breathable fabric which is used in almost all outdoor areas. As with most high-tech innovations, the fabric was originally used by the military: The successful history of Etaproof goes back to the Second World War, as a long established English weaving mill for the government was commissioned to develop a waterproof, warming and comfortable fabric for Hurricane pilots.
Etaproof® was rediscovered in the 90´s and brought up to date with the introduction of impregnation. Etaproof® is appreciated as a natural product of high-tech hiking clothes, hats and bags, as well as clothing for fishermen, hunters, horse riders, cyclists and even extreme sports and polar research.

Die Jacke “Josef” (Vorgängermodell von „Paul Etaproof“) ist eines meiner liebsten Kleidungsstücke. Seit etwa 10 Jahren ist sie eine fast tägliche Begleiterin und kleidet mich angemessen zu vielen Anlässen und im Alltag auf dem Weg zur Arbeit oder im Urlaub. Die Etaproof – Baumwolle hält Wind und Regen zuverlässig ab. Im Sommer kann die Jacke gut über`s Hemd und im Herbst oder Winter mit einem Wollpullover getragen werden um Schutz vor den Elementen zu gewähren.
Mit der Zeit war die ursprünglich dunkelblaue Jacke durch Sonne und Regen stark ausgeblichen. Ich habe sie daher, wie von Ihnen empfohlen, nachgefärbt (Baumwollfärbemittel von Simplicol, Farbe Nachtblau). Nach dem Färben habe ich auf das feuchte Kleidungsstück Imprägnierung aufgetragen (Nikwax Cotton Proof). Die Jacke sieht jetzt wieder sehr schön aus. Dank der exzellenten Verarbeitung und des Etaproof – Stoffes ist das Kleidungsstück sehr beständig und es gibt trotz einem intensiven Gebrauch über mehr als 10 Jahre keine relevanten Defekte. Durch die Nachbehandlung hat die Jacke eine sehr ansprechende Optik bekommen. Ich trage sie weiterhin sehr gerne.

Ich bin frischer Besitzer eines Paul EtaProof und begeistert von Schnitt und Qualität. Die Jacke ist ideal für die Übergangszeit und wenn es bald kühler wird, passen noch Shirt und Pulli drunter. Der Einkauf im Amity-Shop gestaltete sich sehr angenehm, Fragen nach Größenempfehlung und Material wurden umgehend per Mail beantwortet, und ein erster Umtausch war schnell und unbürokratisch erledigt.
