The word "parka" comes from the Inuit language. There, in the northernmost parts of the world, it was worn to protect against extreme weather. Our parka also provides reliable protection from wind and weather. With the appropriate layer (merino, lightweight down, etc.), it can be worn even in extreme temperatures. The helmet-compatible, zip-off hood, the high collar, and the storm flap over the two-way zipper complete the look. Without the hood, it can be worn as a straight, classic coat.
